Due to the Covid crisis, those who were dismissed or sent on unpaid leave by their employer, as well as those who stopped working for a
justified reason - may be eligible for unemployment benefits even if they have accrued a qualifying period of only 6 or 10 months of work, depending on the date of their work stoppage.
The rate of unemployment benefits they will receive will be 85% of
regular unemployment benefits.
They may be eligible for unemployment benefits if they have accrued a qualifying period of at least 6 months of work out of the last 18 months preceding the day of their registration with Employment Service.
